Resources

Whether you are a model, a photographer, or just looking into the business there are some things with which it is important that everyone is familiar.

From how to stay safe on assignments to the sort of contracts and model release forms that you will be asked to sign, the resources below will help you get the best out of your modelling experience.

We also regularly publish articles that may be of interest. Click here or follow the link on the left to see what we've been saying

Release form

When modelling you will usually be asked to sign a release form. These come in all sorts of shapes and formats, but generally all have the same purpose - to ensure that the photographer has full rights over the images that he/she has taken and can use them as they see fit. A release form is perfectly normal and should be expected, but it is important to read the form before signing it to ensure that there are no hidden surprises in the content. Download this example release form to see the content of a typical form. Please note that this form is free for your own use and you may copy or distribute it as many times as you like.

This article looks at some of the key ways to make sure that your modelling experience is as safe as any other job, and helps you to avoid some of the simple common mistakes.

There are, as this document states, no hard and fast rules to this, but we have watched a lot of showreels here and these are our thoughts on what might have made the bad ones better and what made the good ones memorable.
